Internet usage to reach 2 billion people
An International Telecommunication Union report said the number of Internet users will surpass 2 billion this year, according to Reuters.
The report said 71 percent of the population of developed countries uses the Internet as opposed to only 21 percent of the population in developing countries, where usage is growing. Of 226 million new users this year, 162 million are from developing countries.
The report also said the number of Internet users has doubled in the past five years.
