Iowa architecture firms were recognized at the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter’s Annual Awards Celebration in September. Award winners include:

Iowa Excellence in Craft Awards: Honor awards were given to Neumann Monson Architects for its work on Midwest Minaret and Architectural Wall Systems for its work on the Kiewit Luminarium.

Iowa Excellence in Design Awards: Honor awards were given to OPN Architects Inc. for its work on the Polk County Historic Courthouse, the Johnston City Hall and DTE Energy/Ford Dearborn Central Energy Plant. Merit awards were given to RDG Planning & Design for its work on the Forest County Potawatomi Community Center and Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences campus. BNIM Architects received honorable mention for work on the LifeServe Blood Center’s new headquarters.
