Time magazine named Juul creators Adam Bowen and James Monsees to this year’s Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people, and Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller received the tap to write their profile, reports the Iowa City Press-Citizen. Miller, who has previously led multistate pressure on the tobacco industry in 1998 and 2014, was tapped in April 2018 to lead Juul’s expert panel to combat underage tobacco usage, which came with $30 million pledged by Juul, which makes electronic cigarettes. “We should do everything possible to dissuade kids from using e-cigarettes, as we have successfully done with combustible cigarettes. But we should not overreact, either,” Miller wrote.
