The Iowa Center for Economic Success has named Katie Byers director of the Iowa Center Women’s Business Center. Byers will provide training and individual counseling to Iowa women looking to launch or grow their businesses. She is an attorney as well as an entrepreneur. She is a fiber and mixed media artist with a location at Mainframe Studios and founder of HomeDitty, a platform that connects musical artists with house concert hosts. “Katie Byers is an attorney turned entrepreneur with experience launching and growing small businesses that make our community vibrant, flavorful and fun. She is uniquely well equipped to inspire Iowa women who want to achieve the dream of small-business ownership, and to deliver education and counseling to support them on their journeys,” Megan Milligan, CEO of the Iowa Center, said in a prepared statement.
