Iowa community colleges to be recognized
The Iowa Association of Community Colleges Trustees will hold its IACCT Student Legislative Seminar today at 3 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 101 E. Locust St. Gov. Terry Branstad will speak to community college trustees, presidents, staff and nearly 250 students.
The IACCT will hold a student and legislative breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Thursday at the State Capitol Rotunda. Following the breakfast, Sens. Jack Kibbie, Mike Gronstal and Paul McKinley will present Senate Resolution No. 1 to honor the state’s 15 community colleges on the 45th anniversary of their founding.
