The Iowa Finance Authority has announced the winners of the 2024 HousingIowa Awards. The awards recognize outstanding programs, projects and professionals for leadership and innovation in advancing housing opportunities for Iowans, according to a news release. An independent panel of judges selected the award winners from nominations. The award winners this year are:

Single-family development: Hillside Estates, Council Bluffs. Development partners are Turn the Paige Construction, Iowa West Foundation, the city of Council Bluffs, NeighborWorks Home Solutions and Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs.
Multifamily development: Boulevard Apartments, Marion. Developer: Talon Development.
Innovation Award: WE Build Waterloo Introduction to Construction Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program led by Hawkeye Community College.
Special Needs Development: The Heights, Cedar Rapids. Developer: city of Cedar Rapids
Mark Sertterh Friend of Housing Award: Hope Metheny, YSS
Kay Anderson Friend of Iowa: J’nae Peterman, Housing Fund for Linn County
