91 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and Law, Housing, Real Estate and DevelopmentDes Moines Register: The Iowa Finance Authority, which oversees compliance of low-income housing developments in Iowa built through federal tax credit programs, will launch a major effort today to inspect 65 complexes overseen by two property management companies that have been the source of complaints across the state. The property management companies are both run by Brad Carlson, a once-bankrupt real estate investor who took over one of the largest low-income housing portfolios in the state after a former business partner, Jeffrey Voorhees, was indicted in a federal tax-credit fraud case.
