Leaders from the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Co. are in Atlanta this week promoting Iowa’s wind energy industry.

Kathy Evert, president and CEO of the company, will be representing the group at the Windpower 2012 conference.

Iowa is the largest wind energy producer in the nation, and 20 percent of electricity in Iowa comes from wind. The wind industry employs about 75,000 people nationwide, according to a release, and is one of the most rapidly growing industries.
