The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative is accepting nominations for the 2025 Healthiest State Annual Awards now until 5 p.m. Jan. 29. Categories for the awards include Workplace, K-12 School, Early Care, Health Care, Individual and Youth. Self nominations are allowed. “The Annual Awards seek to recognize the extraordinary work of our workplaces, schools, early care sites, and individuals to support the well-being of our fellow Iowans,” Jami Haberl, executive director of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, said in a prepared statement. “By spotlighting these efforts, we hope other Iowans will be inspired to join us in creating a healthier future for Iowa.” Each winner will receive recognition and a monetary prize to contribute toward a health and wellness-related project that benefits their employees, students or fellow citizens, according to a news release. Finalists will be announced in March. All finalists will be recognized, and winners will be revealed at the Healthiest State Conference on April 16. To apply for the awards, click here.
