Statewide home sales dipped less than 1 percent last year to 41,387 from 41,755 in 2017, the Iowa Association of Realtors said. The median sales price increased 3.9 percent to $161,000. Homes sold at a quick clip at an average of 64 days on the market, nearly 17 percent lower than the previous year. The availability of homes for sale was slightly better last year, but in comparison with the prior year, the inventory of single-family homes was lower in nine months, with the inventory of townhouse and condominium properties for sale higher in each month of the year.
