Iowa League of Cities names new government affairs director

Hoye most recently worked at Advocacy Strategies, a multiclient firm based in West Des Moines providing legislative analysis and advocacy on tax policies, stormwater regulations and other city priorities, a news release said. The League of Cities serves more than 800 member cities across Iowa providing advocacy, training and resources to meet the needs of residents. “My experience at the Iowa Capitol has taught me the importance of proactive, locally driven advocacy, and I am excited to support Iowa’s cities in navigating our legislative landscape,” Hoye said in a prepared statement. “By building strong coalitions and fostering effective communication, I look forward to advancing policies that protect local control and empower Iowa’s cities to grow and thrive.”
