Kent Lehr will succeed Rick Portel as the next CEO of Iowa Radiology. Portel, who helped found the organization in 2001, retired as CEO in February. Lehr, who has over a decade of executive health care leadership experience, began his career at UnityPoint Health in 2010 as an administrative fellow under then-CEO Bill Leaver. Over the past 14 years, he has served in leadership roles across UnityPoint Clinics, UnityPoint Health and Sanford Health. Lehr started Pink Sky Ventures, a company focused on developing strategy, driving growth, performance and innovation in health care. He also co-founded ManageLife Health, a technology-enabled services company that brings health and health management into the home. In 2017, he was named on the Becker’s Hospital Review “Rising Stars: 60 healthcare leaders under 40.” Lehr received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at Cornell College in 2006 and completed a master of health administration and master of business administration at the University of Iowa. He also oversees the Stacey G. Lehr Foundation.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated to correct Lehr’s graduation date from Cornell College.
