Iowa receives $3 million to offer E15, biodiesel blends
The U.S Department of Agriculture announced $3 million in funding for nine Iowa fueling locations across the state to update infrastructure in order to offer higher blends of biofuels, like E15 or B20. The funding, which comes from the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP), is part of a larger $39 million USDA awarded across 18 states. HBIIP provides cost-share grants to help retailers upgrade infrastructure such as storage tanks, dispensers and fuel pumps, according to a news release.
