The index focuses on four pillars: enhanced workplace inclusivity, competitive benchmarking, increased employee loyalty and retention and attracting diverse talent. It focuses on areas such as non-discrimination policies, administrative policies and recordkeeping, employee privacy and benefit programs. Iowa Safe Schools will begin working with program applicants in October to best serve their specific needs. “With diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts being scrutinized at organizations across the nation, Iowa Safe Schools decided to step up and expand our support for the employers who continue to value their LGBTQ employees for who they are,” said Becky Tayler, executive director for Iowa Safe Schools, in a prepared statement.
