Iowa Safe Schools, a statewide organization with a mission of providing safe, supportive and nurturing learning environments and communities for LGBTQ youth, will host a summer camp for LGBTQ youths on June 12-14. Pride Camp, which will be held at Grand View University, will offer students the opportunity to choose from three tracks: STEM, leadership or advocacy. The camp, designed to be a safe space for about 150 campers to learn, grow and connect with other students and community leaders, is sponsored by several businesses, among them Kemin Inc., Dwolla and Bankers Trust.
