The Iowa Society of CPAs announced Carrie Steffen will become its next CEO, starting May 19. A committee of current and past ISCPA executive committee board members used a local executive search company to help find a new CEO after Dawn Latham resigned from the position in November. Steffen brings more than 25 years of experience in the accounting profession to ISCPA, most recently as co-founder and president of the Whetstone Group. She also served as national marketing director for RSM US LLP and has been named to the Association for Accounting Marketing Hall of Fame, Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential Consultant to Watch list and the Corridor Business Journal 40 Under 40 List. Former Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines executive and ISCPA member Ardis Kelley has been serving as interim CEO and will help support the transition.
