Iowa State receives $2 million research grant
Iowa State University was awarded a $2 million grant by the Iowa Power Fund Board to fund renewable energy research.
The grant is contingent upon an award of $20 million in funding from the National Science Foundation.
The goal of Iowa State’s project is to expand the state’s research capacity in renewable energy technologies. The project’s program consists of wind, solar, bioenergy and energy efficiency research conducted by teams of faculty members from Iowa three state universities, who will also interact with community colleges, private colleges, state agencies and companies.
