Iowa Workforce Development hires Georgia Van Gundy as deputy director

Georgia Van Gundy is the new deputy director at Iowa Workforce Development. Van Gundy most recently served as chief administrative officer at Hy-Vee Inc., overseeing human resources, employee development and engagement, communications and government and community relations. Before that, she was the executive director of the Iowa Business Council. She has more than two decades of policy and legislative experience in Iowa and nationally. In 2019, Van Gundy was recognized as a Business Record Women of Influence honoree. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Iowa State University.
