Iowa Workforce Development unveiled a new website this week that is intended to simplify the presentation of important agency information and make it easier for Iowans to find workforce solutions. The new site comes with a new URL: https://workforce.iowa.gov, as well as a new structure focused on increasing clarity in a more user-friendly experience. The previous version of https://iowaworkforcedevelopment.gov is no longer accessible to the public. Instead, any web browsers pointed at the old home page address or following old bookmarks will be automatically redirected to the new page. IWD’s new website is part of a broader effort to unify the state of Iowa’s online presence and make it easier for Iowans to navigate government web pages, according to a press release. More agencies are scheduled to make a similar transition to the new platform in the coming months, including some previously self-contained sub-units of IWD, such as the Vocational Rehabilitation Services division, which joined IWD in July as part of a statewide government realignment.
