Isaacson to speak at Partnership annual dinner

159 wordsAll Latest News, Business Community Events, Economic DevelopmentAuthor and Tulane University history professor Walter Isaacson — past chairman of CNN, former editor of Time magazine and past CEO of the Aspen Institute — will headline the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s annual dinner Jan. 15 at Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. Isaacson, who is a distinguished fellow at Aspen, wrote a biography of Leonardo da Vinci, published in 2017. An advisory partner at financial firm Perella Weinberg in New York City, he also authored “The Innovators: How a Group of Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks Created the Digital Revolution,” “Steve Jobs,” “Einstein: His Life and Universe,” “Benjamin Franklin: An American Life,” and “Kissinger: A Biography.” The dinner begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., with the keynote and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Partnership will present its annual report. Center-stage seating is $175 per person or $1,750 per table, and general seating is $150 per person or $1,500 per table. A table seats 10 people.
