Josh Kennedy has been hired by the Johnston Police Department as its community affairs coordinator, the city announced. Kennedy previously worked for the Johnston school district and Woodward Academy. The community affairs coordinator is a new civilian position in the department. The coordinator’s role will “provide more individual, focused attention on people, families and marginalized communities that need direct access to resources both within and outside Johnston,” according to the news release. Kennedy’s annual salary is $74,980.
