The city of Johnston is the recipient of a “Leading the Way Award” from ETC Institute, according to a news release. The honor recognizes local government achievements in delivering services to residents; recipients rank in the top 10% nationwide for their performance on ETC Institute’s Direction Finder Survey. Johnston residents gave the city high marks this spring for such items as the speed and quality of police, fire and emergency medical services, overall safety, and maintenance of city facilities.
