Judge approves Dahl’s sale

152 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentU.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Anita Shodeen on Friday approved the sale of Dahl’s Foods Inc. to three companies, including Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc. of Kansas, which will take over seven of Dahl’s 10 stores, The Des Moines Register reported. Three other Dahl’s properties were either sold to other parties or will close: Convenience store chain Kum & Go bought the store at 5003 E.P. True Parkway in West Des Moines. Equity Ventures Commercial Development is buying the store at 8700 Hickman Road in Clive. A store at 3400 E. 33rd St. in Des Moines will close. Hy-Vee Inc. will buy the pharmacy-related assets of those three locations. Kum & Go plans to build a store on the E.P. True Parkway site, replacing an older, smaller convenience store across the street, said Siobhan Harman, real estate development manager at Kum & Go. Equity Ventures has said it plans to redevelop the Clive site.
