Kemin Industries announced Tuesday it has reached a company vision set nearly two decades ago: to touch half of the world’s population with its products. The Des Moines-based company estimates that its products now touch 3.8 billion lives daily, or half the current global population of 7.6 billion. “When the vision was first introduced in 1998, the size and magnitude seemed incredibly audacious,” said Chris Nelson, president and CEO of Kemin. “In less than 20 years, we’ve achieved our vision and have become a global leader in providing innovative solutions for improving the quality, safety and efficacy of food, feed and health-related products.” More than 500 Kemin North American employees and their families attended a celebration last week at the Science Center of Iowa to mark the milestone, and Kemin plans similar celebrations at its locations worldwide this month.
