Krause Group sells Solar Transport property in agribusiness park

370 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentA 10.5-acre parcel in Des Moines’ Southeast Agribusiness Park has been acquired by Maverik – Adventure’s First Stop convenience store chain, Polk County real estate records show.
In August, Maverik acquired longtime Iowa company Kum & Go from Krause Group. The deal also included the acquisition of Solar Transport, a tank truck carrier and logistics provider started by the founders of Kum & Go in the 1960s. The fuel transport company hauled fuel to the convenience stores.
The company’s operations are located at 2500 S.E. 43rd St. in Des Moines. Sole Transport LC, now operated by Maverik, acquired the property from Krause Properties LC $1.55 million in a transaction that was recorded May 23, Polk County real estate records show.
The property includes a 6,256-square-foot warehouse built in 1987. It also includes a 1,215-square-foot metal office built in 2019 (pictured above).
Krause Group acquired the property in 1999, records show.
The property is valued at $914,000.

The property includes a 22,046-square-foot one-story building with 30 assisted living units. The structure was built in 2005. The property is valued at $3.1 million. The transaction was recorded May 21.
The Steburg Family Trust paid the Russell Trust $1.77 million for property at 12903 N.W. 85th Ave. in Grimes, records show. The property includes a 5,999-square-foot house built in 2000. The transaction was recorded May 21.
Scribble DE LLC, located in Des Moines, paid Kristine McVicker $2.5 million for property at 3848 River Oaks Drive in Des Moines, records show. The property includes a 3,855-square-foot house built in 2021. The transaction was recorded May 24.
Dallas County
Waukee Storage LLC, located in Rochester, Minn., paid MII Crescent Ridge LLC $4.8 million for property at 600 Interstate Parkway in Waukee, Dallas County real estate records show. The nearly 3-acre parcel includes over 23,000 square feet of mini-storage space spread over five buildings. The property is valued at $4.2 million. The transaction was recorded May 21.
