Des Moines Register: As they seek investors to build a Des Moines soccer stadium, the owners of Kum & Go have made an eight-figure bid to purchase an Italian professional team, the Financial Times reported Monday. The Krause Group, the holding company for the convenience store and gas station chain, has submitted a proposal to take a 60% stake in the Serie A club Parma, according to the Financial Times. The deal values the team at more than 100 million euros, or more than $118.5 million. The Financial Times reported that the Krause Group outbid a Qatari investor for the club and that a deal could be reached by the end of this week.
