The Latina Leadership Initiative of Greater Des Moines (LLI) last week announced members of its 2018-19 class. LLI uses a curriculum that infuses traditional leadership development training with three areas of focus, and it is the only leadership development program in Iowa focused on Latinas. The program is open to women who are between the ages of 20 and 30 or are in the beginning stages of their business careers. Members of this year’s class are Teresa Aguilar, Chelsea Chism-Vargas, Norma Dorado-Robles, Vanessa Espinoza, Jessica Mena, EvelinOrellana, Assua Phongsavanh and Berenice Real. A welcome reception for the new members will be held Sept. 13 starting at 6 p.m. at Grand View University in Des Moines. The event is open to the public. Learn more about LLI online.
