The Iowa-Nebraska chapter of the ESOP Association has named LBS, a Des Moines-based 100% employee-owned company, as the 2023 Employee Owned Company of the Year. The award recognizes LBS’ strong commitment to employee ownership culture, its involvement with the ESOP Association and its programs, its clear communication with employees, and its dedication to employee participation, wealth creation, and individual dignity and worth. LBS became an ESOP in 2014 and is a manufacturer and distributor of materials for publishing, photo books, bookbinding, and luxury packaging. LBS employee-owners received the award on March 1 at the Iowa-Nebraska ESOP Chapter’s Winter Conference in Omaha. LBS is now entered into the National Award competition for National Employee Owned Company of the Year.
