LCS has hired Monica Friedman as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Friedman, most recently senior vice president of human resources for Nationwide, will join LLC on Nov. 12. The Des Moines-based senior living community company has 23,000 employees across 32 states who serve 34,000 seniors. “We believe Monica’s in-depth experience working with large-scale companies, combined with her strategic and business skill set fits perfectly with our company’s current needs and future growth plans,” said Joel Nelson, president and CEO of LCS. Friedman brings more than 20 years of human resources experience to LCS. She was honored as a Woman of Influence by the Business Record in 2016. Friedman serves on the boards of United Way of Central Iowa, Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines and the Business Education Alliance.
