LCS’ Nelson named chair of senior living industry association Argentum

163 wordsAll Latest News, Energy, Health and WellnessLCS Corp., a Des Moines-based senior living services company, announced that its president and CEO, Joel Nelson, was elected to serve a three-year term as the chairman of the board of directors for Argentum. The national trade association represents senior living operators, residents and their families. Along with its state partners, its membership represents about 75% of the senior living industry. Nelson, who was named CEO of LCS in 2018, has worked in senior living throughout his 36-year career, and played an integral role in starting the company’s real estate business. He has served Argentum in a variety of roles, most recently as vice chairman on the board and co-chair of the public policy committee helping to increase awareness and advocacy for key issues affecting the senior living industry. “Those who have committed to serving seniors understand the importance of collaborating to move our industry forward,” Nelson said. “We have a lot of work to do, but the work we do has tremendous purpose.”
