The first installment of the 2011 Daybreak Leadership: A Leadership Breakfast and Networking Series from the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (GDMLI) will discuss the Greater Des Moines legislative update from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the A. Arthur Davis Conference Center in the Greater Des Moines Partnership Building, 700 Locust St. Featured speakers are Tim Coonan of the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives, Brad Epperly of the Nyemaster Goode Law Firm, Georgia Van Gundy of Principal Financial Group Inc. and Ed Wallace of the Iowa Taxpayers Association. Scott Sundstrom  of  Nyemaster Goode will be the moderator.
