The Johnston City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a site plan to relocate the nonprofit’s headquarters from 431 E. Locust St. in Des Moines to a new, 56,569-square-foot facility at 5625 Johnston Drive. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the nonprofit said it already has bidders to purchase its current building, which could be a prime spot for redevelopment in the East Village.
