Online discount-finder LivingSocial launched today in Des Moines.

LivingSocial is a service that allows customers to receive e-mails detailing discounts at local businesses, and gives incentives for users to share the deals with others.

Des Moines is one of eight cities to be added to the service area for the group, a competitor to coupon-provider Groupon Inc. The company now has service in 121 markets worldwide and more than 10 million subscribers.
