The Great Outdoors Foundation and ICON Water Trails announced that the third annual Wild Prairie Showdown on Oct. 12, presented by Bolton & Menk, raised more than $120,000 for conservation and outdoor recreation initiatives. The Wild Prairie Showdown is a competition to name the MVP, or Most Valuable Philanthropist. The record-setting fundraising total from this year’s event will support both the Great Outdoors Foundation and ICON Water Trails. The Wild Prairie Showdown, which marked the end of an eight-week fundraising campaign, also featured a fashion show and interview panel showcasing the stars of the Wild Prairie Showdown. The group included Team ICON Water Trails’ Phoukham Baccam of Principal Financial Group and Emily Naylor of Bolton & Menk, as well as Team Great Outdoors Foundation’s Rona Berinobis of Athene and Afton Holt of CornerPost Marketing. Team ICON Water Trails received the team MVP award, while Naylor won the individual MVP title. The Great Outdoors Foundation also publicly launched its Conservation Fund, which is designed to multiply investment in water quality. Click here to learn more about the fund.
