Longtime credit union leader to retire from ICUL
The Iowa Credit Union League announced that Jim Niederhauser will retire from his role as chief operating officer, effective July 1. Before being named COO of the trade association in 2018, Niederhauser worked in various other capacities with ICUL, including vice president, for a total of 25 years. His 37-year career also included 12 years as CEO of Principal Financial Group Employees Credit Union, which is now Premier Credit Union. “Jim has been a tireless advocate for Iowa’s credit unions and the cooperative movement,” said Murray Williams, president and CEO of ICUL “Through his time with ICUL, he has built strong and lasting relationships, grown the impact of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation, and has ensured we are providing needed, relevant and impactful services to our membership.”
