Lowell Scott, owner and operator of the Holiday Inn Des Moines Airport/Conference Center has joined the board of directors of the Iowa Hotel & Lodging Association. Scott was a board member of the Iowa Lodging Association, the predecessor of the Iowa Hotel & Lodging Association, which was formed in 2022. He has a law degree from Drake University and earned his certified hotel administrator credentials from the American Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Institute. The Iowa Hotel & Lodging Association represents the state’s nearly 1,000 hotel and lodging establishments. In its first 18 months, more than 150 hotel properties have joined the association.
