Lung health expo to be held in Des Moines
The American Lung Association in Iowa announced that lung health experts will gather in Des Moines on May 9 for the Lung Force Expo. The expo is a program designed for health care professionals, patients and caregivers to learn more about the latest trends, resources and research surrounding lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma and other lung diseases. More than 325,000 Iowans suffer from some form of lung disease. “That’s why these expos are more important than ever to communicate new treatments, help people live better with lung disease and share the newest research,” said Micki Sandquist, executive director for the Lung Association in Iowa.
