Macri awarded Counselors of Real Estate designation

216 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentMike Macri, a vice president in CBRE Inc.’s West Des Moines office, has been awarded the Counselor of Real Estate designation by The Counselors of Real Estate, the organizations announced.
The Counselors of Real Estate is an international group of high-profile real estate professionals who provide expert advisory services to clients on complex real property and land-related matters. The credential was awarded in January 2024.
Only 1,000 professionals in all disciplines of real estate hold the CRE credential in the United States and 20 other countries. Membership is selective and extended by invitation, although commercial real estate practitioners with 10 years of proven experience may apply.
Macri joined CBRE in September 2018 and has more than 20 years of industry experience. He is responsible for nearly 2 million square feet of development projects and properties throughout Iowa and the Des Moines metropolitan area on behalf of various landlords and developers. Macri also is an adjunct professor of practice with Iowa State University College of Design’s Community and Regional Planning department where he teaches courses in real estate development for the Master of Real Estate Development program.
In addition to his work with CBRE, Macri maintains a consultative relationship with the cities of Ottumwa and Maquoketa, as well as Jackson County Economic Development.
