Dr. Denise Mandi, section chief of Broadlawns Medical Center Foot and Ankle Surgery Department, was elected president of the medical staff for 2011. She is the first female physician in the medical center’s history to be elected to serve in the top leadership role. Mandi, who has been with Broadlawns since 2006, has previously served as chair of the surgery department. Also elected for one term were doctors L. Jeffrey Rissman, president elect; Randy Maigaard, secretary/treasurer; Steve Stefani, chair of the department of surgery; and Doug Hanson, chair of the department of medicine.
