Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA), a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh Inc., announced it has acquired RJF Agencies Inc., one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the upper Midwest. Founded in 1986, RJF has annual revenue of approximately $25 million and about 150 employees. Based in Minneapolis, RJF provides property and casualty insurance and employee benefits to middle-market companies in a wide range of industries. The firm, which will serve as MMA’s upper Midwest hub, has specialty practices that include manufacturing, condominium and townhome associations, management liability and contractors. All of RJF’s employees and leadership team, including CEO Bill Jeatran and President Tim Fleming, will join Marsh & McLennan. Since November 2009, MMA has grown to become the 12th-largest insurance agency in the United States, with approximately $285 million in annual revenue.
