Mercy College of Health Sciences and Buena Vista University have announced a partnership to launch a 3+1 nursing program in Storm Lake. In four years, students will earn both a bachelor’s degree from BVU and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through an accelerated one-year pathway from Mercy College. Upon successful completion of Mercy College’s nursing coursework after their third year, students are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination. The first accelerated nursing cohort offered in Storm Lake will begin in the summer of 2025.
