Mercy to host ovarian cancer conference
On Sept. 16, Mercy Cancer Center in Des Moines will host a one-day conference focused on ovarian cancer at the Mercy Medical Center East Tower Auditorium. Mercy and KCCI on Tuesday evening hosted a live Web chat to bring more attention to ovarian cancer, which has been referred to as “the silent killer.” But recent studies show that progress has been made in treating the disease and improving survival rates.
