After more than 30 years of serving patients, MercyOne will stop providing care at its Urbandale clinic at 6202 Aurora Ave. after Jan. 26, MercyOne Director of Communications Eve Lederhouse said. Lederhouse added that MercyOne patients who receive care at the Urbandale location have been notified that their providers will move to other nearby MercyOne locations in the Des Moines area and that there will be no job cuts as part of the change. All staff will be relocated to other facilities. “Structural challenges with the current building, paired with ongoing financial challenges facing health care, have led to making this change in the best interests of our patients and colleagues,” Lederhouse wrote in an email. “We look forward to serving all our patients with uninterrupted care at our other locations.”
