Mission Cancer + Blood announced plans for a new facility in Ankeny for oncology and hematology care. “We have been dedicated to offering cancer care through an expanding network of hospitals, cancer centers, and clinics since 1981, and we are thrilled to finally establish a presence in Ankeny,” Phil Stover, CEO of Mission Cancer + Blood, said in a prepared statement. “Ankeny, being one of Iowa’s fastest-growing communities, is a perfect complement to our existing 24 locations.” Mission Cancer + Blood has partnerships with MercyOne, UnityPoint Health, and the Iowa Clinic, and currently serves patients at three locations in the Des Moines metro area, along with 21 outreach sites throughout Central Iowa. In collaboration with DRA Realty, Mission Cancer + Blood has partnered to construct an 11,000-square-foot medical clinic at 1950 S.W. Magazine Road in Ankeny’s Prairie Trail development. Construction is expected to be completed by November. Architectural rendering courtesy of Imprint Architects
