Missouri group buys land in Ankeny; Hobby Lobby planned on site

A Hobby Lobby is planned on the site, a city official said. The 55,000-square-foot retail building would be located south of Sam’s Club. The Ankeny City Council in early May approved a development agreement that included reimbursing the developer up to $195,638 for public improvements planned at Southeast 54th Street and Southeast Delaware. The transaction was recorded May 9.
Charlotte’s Belgian Waffles LLC, located in Johnston, paid Early NNN Enterprises LLC $650,000 for property at 6150 Merle Hay Road in Johnston, records show. The property includes a 2,114-square-foot retail building constructed in 1999. The property was previously occupied by a Dairy Queen ice cream shop. Charlotte’s Kitchen, which specializes in chicken sandwiches, is now located in the space. The property is valued at $758,600. The transaction was recorded May 8.
