“Unapologetically Bold” will be held on the Blue Compass campus in West Des Moines on April 18 from 12:30 to 5 p.m.
Speakers include Beth Shelton, Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa CEO, and Whitney Warne, an emotional intelligence consultant and photographer. Shelton will speak about embracing failure, and Warne will challenge women on how they can take back power to lead unapologetically, according to a release.
“While there are plenty of seminars on leadership, and a few specifically geared toward women, there is a need for affordable leadership events so women at all stages of their career can invest in their development,” Carole Chambers, curriculum chair for MOIsson, said.
MOIsson was launched in October 2013 to develop leadership and cross-generational mentorship among women. Zeal, a spinoff of MOIsson, celebrates female mentorship, personal development and professional achievement.
Admission to the event is $39, and registration can be found on Eventbrite.
