Molina Healthcare of Iowa, one of three insurers available to Iowans using Medicaid, announced a new partnership with Innovive Health to provide a new home care model to members with behavioral health needs. Innovive Health is a home health care agency that focuses on treating patients who have multiple medical comorbidities with complicating behavioral illness. Innovive’s model provides services that address factors affecting overall well-being like chronic illnesses and social determinants of health as well as patients’ medical needs. The partnership aims to reduce emergency room visits and inpatient readmissions. “It is important that we meet our members where they are, and this partnership with Innovive Health helps Molina address the many factors that impact their health,” Jennifer Vermeer, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Iowa, said in a prepared statement. “This comprehensive approach provides our members the care they need to improve their quality of life.”
