Des Moines Register: With more donations than it previously expected, the Krause Group plans to take on less debt than anticipated to build its downtown Des Moines soccer stadium. In an updated budget submitted to the Iowa Economic Development Authority last week, it said it expects to fund the project in part with a $10.3 million construction loan. It previously expected to take out a $22.3 million loan. Krause Group spokesperson Cait Suttie said Wednesday that the group is projecting less debt because of an influx of donations. The company now expects $30 million in private gifts and grants, up from $20 million last year.
