More meals volunteers needed
Meals from the Heartland said its needs more volunteers, though the ability to register online has already resulted in more than half of the available packaging slots being filled for the organization’s upcoming event. A total of 14,200 are needed for the Sept. 2-5 event at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines to help package millions of meals for the world’s hungry. To date, 9,205 people have registered.
