Target Corp. and Neiman Marcus have made the news as of late for data breaches during the holiday shopping season, but they weren’t the only ones hacked, according to a report by Reuters. Smaller breaches on at least three other well-known U.S. retailers took place in a similar manner as the attacks on Target, people familiar with the attacks told Reuters. Neiman Marcus, a Dallas-based luxury retailer, announced on Saturday that customers’ payment information was stolen over the holidays. Target Corp. said it plans to make “significant changes” in light of its data breach, according to another Reuters article. Hackers stole the personal information of at least 70 million customers at Target, and the company has said that hackers stole data from 40 million credit and debit cards.
